PLASKOLITE NAMES NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR EMEA

Plaskolite, LLC (“Plaskolite”), a global manufacturer of engineering thermoplastics, today announced that Marco Fiorucci has been named Managing Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). With over 30 years of experience in thermoplastics, chemicals, and compounding, Mr. Fiorucci brings a strong background in sales and operations leadership in the region.

“Marco has a wealth of experience and a proven track record in strategic growth and market expansion,” said Plaskolite President & CEO Michael Gilbert. “He has consistently delivered outstanding results and has a deep understanding of the diverse markets in the EMEA region.”

Mr. Fiorucci succeeds Amir Abramovich, Managing Director of EMEA and South America, who is retiring after 39 years in the thermoplastics industry, including his recent leadership of the former Plazit-Polygal business before its acquisition by Plaskolite in 2021.

Previously, Mr. Fiorucci served as Director of Consumer and Industrial Markets at Ascend Performance Materials and prior to that, as Sales Director for Arkema Specialty Surfactants. He has also held various leadership positions at Ashland Chemical, Nexeo Solutions and Interpolimeri Group.

Originally from Siena, Italy, Mr. Fiorucci has resided in the Barcelona area for over 20 years. He is fluent in Italian, Spanish, English, and French.
