COLUMBUS, Ohio (April 17, 2023) – Plaskolite LLC, a global leader in manufacturing engineered thermoplastics, will display its portfolio of advanced materials at BAU 2023, April 17-22, in Munich. This is the company’s first appearance at Europe’s leading trade show for the architectural and building materials industry.

Plaskolite’s booth will showcase the company’s broad portfolio of solutions that contribute to more efficient, cost-effective and sustainable construction, including its line of thermoplastic sheet made with recycled content. This includes TUFFAK® R Polycarbonate, OPTIX® R Cell Cast Acrylic, OPTIX R extruded and OPTIX R Dust, made from acrylic sawdust and all are currently available in Europe.

Other products that will be on display during the show include:

TUFFAK SK and OPTIX EcoShade, designed for skylights and daylighting. These sheets allow natural sunlight into interior spaces while reflecting more than 75% of infrared radiation to keep temperatures stable.

POLYGAL® Topgal, a standing seam roofing system made with multiwall polycarbonate. This lightweight material is transparent to visible light but partially absorbs infrared light and is opaque to ultraviolet light.

POLYGAL Thermogal, a material specifically designed for industrial roofing, walkways, awnings and similar structures for large-span openings. It is engineered for extra strength to withstand strong winds and heavy loads and is suitable for cold climates.

“Our acquisition last year of POLYGAL Multiwall sheet was an important step toward expanding our portfolio of energy-saving building materials in Europe, and we look forward to introducing our recycled products throughout the continent to foster a circular economy with partners and customers,” said Jacob Haas, Plaskolite Chief Commercial Officer.

Plaskolite operates 16 manufacturing facilities globally, including European locations in Spain and Bulgaria with warehousing in Holland.

Plaskolite’s booth will be in Hall C2, Stand 436, at Trade Fair Center Messe München.
